"We received a very warm welcome from the owners, even though we arrived later than planned. We were able to enjoy a toasted sandwich in the peaceful garden. The house itself has been beautifully renovated, and the rooms are decorated with great care, maintaining the old style yet offering all the modern conveniences. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh rolls, homemade jam, and lemonade. A place to return to!"

But the plumbing needs to be updated - the water pressure in the bathroom sink starts strong but then quickly weakens; the water in our sink smelled and tasted like old metal. "Location is central and easy to get to. The staff is very nice and friendly, trying to help with the city attractions. The room is clean but very simple and basic. Some wall hooks and luggage holders will be appreciated . The bathroom is tiny and would be uncomfortable for someone bigger."

"Good location and very clean. The room amenities and decor were very nice, staff very helpful, and good breakfast. We booked a canal view room which you could only see from the corner of the room and basically looked out over the street so not really as advertised."
