"We were checked in by a really lovely helpful young girl on reception. She was amazing! Room was ok, large but dated but bed comfy. Pillows hard (but luckily bought ours with us). Went for dinner that evening. Do not recommend. Menu stated roasted carrots and green beans with the pie - came with obviously frozen peas and carrots and a few leeks. Service was terrible - 3 members of staff clustered around entrance, poor service - had to keep get ring up to get own drinks from bar outside restaurant. Dinner staff very unwelcoming- felt like we were a hindrance. Was an ok stay but would not return."

"This is a nice hotel with good eco credentials. We could hear some noise from next door in our room. Our bed was very comfortable. The room would have benefited from some hooks for hanging coats etc."

"The parking was good. The room we had needed a bit of updating. The toilet was separate from the bathroom. The fittings in the bath where broken the sealant around the bath and shower door needed re doing. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The reception area was lovely. The hotel was very central "

"Difficult to get excited about an Ibis. You get what you paid for, which wasn’t a lot. Check in was super quick. Room was super small but allowed for a good nights sleep. Everything was nice & clean. Likely the atmosphere & decor in the cafe bar area but breakfast wasn’t very good at all. Not for the price anyway. Location was spot on for one night out in Sheffield. As long as it was cheap, I’d stay there again. "

"Room was very clean, however one of our towels was dirty but staff replaced this immediately. Our room didn’t have a window which was unexpected as nowhere when booking did it say this might be the case, felt quite claustrophobic. Excellent location and lovely hotel overall."

"It's ok for a budget hotel. AC works, cold breakfast only, great shower pressure! key cards demagnetise and need to be reset every now and then. Had to reset room cards twice and was never asked to confirm my identity, could have said any room number. Staff is nice and polite though, just needs more due diligence. Room naturally are small with a tiiiiiiiny restroom. Shower cabin opens into the room, so if you are staying with a kid or teenager, showering descreetly requires some towel logistics. No power outlet next to beds, kind of ineffecient when you need to charge a phone or laptop. Looks clean throughout. No amneties in the room, other than 2 sink glasses and all-in-one cleaning gel, but a kettle can be requested at the reception. 5 min walk from Sheffield ICE and Sheffield Institute of Sport Arena."

"Great hotel, love it, love it, love it! Great facilities i.e. pool, sauna, rooms, bar, gym, toilets. Price competitive to others in the area. Quiet, clean, lovely beds and carpets, great views and central to restaurants. Only thing to improve is to have breakast a bit ealier, otherwise, great hotel, super recommended and will stay again for sure."
