Be wary of booking a stay here. As we were driving into Red River we received a message that the reservation should not have gone through as the property was completely sold out. After nearly 2 hours on the phone with Expedia, and an attempt to relocate my family to Taos b/c of lack of availability anywhere in Red River, we were relocated elsewhere in town. The only positive is that William who was working the front desk was extremely kind and tried his best to assist us as the Expedia relocation team being difficult to work with. Red River itself is fantastic and I would anticipate us going back at some point.
Red river is an amazing place if you want to experience the mountains and wild life. We went on off season, so the town was very quiet. It can be busy in ski and summer season. The hotel was wonderful, despite the small stain on the cover. Other than that we will be back.
