"Stayed following a match at Anfield, got back in the evening to find very little choice of food left and staff completely run off their feet. Had to wait over and hour for our food which was burnt"

"Room was spotless and appeared to have been recently decorated. Unfortunately there were cracks in the sink and the hotel generally looks a little tired. The hotel staff were amazing … all so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Particularly Aziz at breakfast and the wonderful bartender Mal. He couldn’t do enough for us, moving furniture around and asking us if we wanted any particular music to be played. He really went above and beyond to make my 89 year old mum’s evening. "

"The main part of the hotel was stunning. The room I was in & the grounds needs a little TLC and. But overall comfortable night. The lates and resivour was lovely to walk around and spot local wildlife etc. "

"I was in a standard room. Felt safe, slept well. Modern bathroom, very good shower. Surprised no mini fridge - staff confirmed standard rooms do not have fridges. Air Con wasn’t working. Breakfast was plentiful, good selection of hot and cold, though quality is standard, not luxurious . Staff at reception and in breakfast room were excellent. Nothing too much trouble. "

"I have now stayed here 3times in 6 weeks I love the place staff brilliant I travel to watch Wigan at rugby league 230 miles each time as for the beds the most comfortable I have had and I do not stay in the same room different each time wake up really refreshed love the place"

"Check in was very efficient . The corridors smelt of wacky backy! The rooms were ok. Breakfast was ok the bacon was overdone but everything else was nice. ok stay for what we wanted it for."

"Had a lovely stay, room was comfortable, spacious and clean. The staff were nice and the breakfast was good. Some cooked food was not available but we had a late breakfast, that was my only quibble. Thanks."

"Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was stellar and we had no problems charging our EV. Our Junior suite was perfect and the bed was quite comfortable after a long day of travel. Cheers from Canada!!"

"Overall excellent hotel, little dissapointed that the family rooms are 2 double beds so kids have to sleep together which is a bit of a recipe for arguments and the beds are VERY firm, which is not for me but maybe great for some people. Room was clean although not much storage. Nice bathroom and toiletries. Breakfast was excellent with a good selection. Overall really enjoyed our stay. "

" Lovely spacious room. Good range of amenities. Tea, coffee in room and you just help yourself for refills. Good sized bathroom, and the shower was good. Staff friendly and helpful. Fresh breakfast with plenty of choice. Hotel is close to attractions and restaurants. Quiet area. Would recommend and would stay again. "
