"Odd layout - we were only there one night and still had trouble choosing which stairs or elevator to use. It’s not that big a place! But it’s charming. My only complaint is not the hotel but the charmless area it’s in. The hotel restaurant is the only possible one for dinner without driving. And it’s got a limited menu although the food was quite good."

The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the centre of Valletta, giving you the opportunity to leave the hustle and bustle behind and ensure a good nights sleep. "Beautiful small hotel in an ancient building with beautiful furnishings. Our room (Sliema) was large and well furnished and equipped with excellent drinks making facilities. The bathroom was large and had plentiful hot water but was down a couple of steep steps from the bedroom. At the top of the hotel is a lovely roof terrace with fabulous views and a small pool. The breakfast was decent, especially the freshly cooked eggs. The hotel is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as it is up a few steps up from the road and has more steps inside. There is a lift but it did not work throughout our stay. The staff at the hotel are delightful. The location in Cospicua is excellent, close to the Valetta ferry and with many restaurants, cafes and bars in walking distance but feeling like a real Maltese town."

"The hotel was exactly what I wanted and wish I had more time to stay there longer, more than one night. When I say exactly what I wanted, I mean a house or room of character, an authentic building or "classic" if you will and I loved it. Also, the property manager Cherise was extremely helpful, my wife and I visit Malta a lot and will certainly be back to this property again."

"Two day business trip in Valletta - didn't want a posh hotel far away and this lucky find was just right. Spotlessly clean, They arranged for me to be to be picked up at Luqa airport and that worked well, the breakfast was perfect (different every day), the staff - Shawn & Petrie - were kind and helpful. The rooms are small but air conditioned and comfortable and they have a rooftop bar. where you can chill. I used Bolt (like uber) to get to my meetings and they were always on time. In short, they de-stressed what would otherwise have been a rushed two days."
