But if you want to have an amazing experience and welcoming to Zanzibar don’t stay here there are many more other places to stay that will give you that magical experience for the same price. The food isn’t so bad tbh but the didn’t have much of the menu eg something so simple like fruits. "Excellent surroundings - a lot of shadow, a lot of sun beds right next to the ocean - great! Good restaurant with nice place to sit and chill whole day. :) Rooms location is strange as it faces parking, not nice to spend time there, but rooms inside are clean and comfortable. The main drawback - NO POOL. The hotel is located in place with no beach, so at low tide you are not able to swim. Location of the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, no option for short walk etc."

"My stay at Cactus Lodge was heavenly. My first time traveling alone from the US (New York), I am so glad I booked my stay here. The place hidden in plain sight, opening up the gate to a gorgeous beach vibe. The hotel rooms were very clean, spacious and well air conditioned. Hot water was almost immediate as you turn it on. It was so easy to confirm excursions through the owner/staff and it is very close to all the nightlife. All of the staff were amazing also. So kind, they made me feel so safe....
