I appreciated the ice machine for our refilling our water bottles every day as we headed out to explore the city. Having our luggage held after checkout on our last day was also very helpful. "My daughter and I recently stayed at the Grove Inn and found it very nice. There was consistent communication from the staff prior to check in (regarding access, parking, etc). The building is so cute, and very well maintained. The room was spotless. We also loved the convenient locations (we walked to Alamo Square to see the view, then walked to a nearby sushi restaurant and Salt and Straw). We would definitely stay again!"

After returning to the front desk and getting a replacement, I was directed to another room—only to find that it was already occupied with someone else’s belongings inside. "For the price, well worth the stay. Offers free parking. Parking is very tight. One way in and out . Other than that, it was a nice place to stay. Very convenient location."

"Our check in took over half an hour - we had to wait outside the office! Room - the bathroom door was jammed. We wanted to bath but there was no plug and no offer of another. The worst was there was a very bright spotlight outside our room so was impossible to sleep as so bright as light came through the shutters. Again no offer to remedy Not a great experience"
