Called ahead to let front desk know that we would be checking in late in the night and front desk staff wasn't as pleasant on the phone. Arrived around 10:30pm to find no one at front desk. No sign. No bell. I am calling out, knocking on office door, calling on hotel phone. By this point, we are tired and want to be checked in for our room. I go in search to find a staff who turns out to be the front desk person and same one from the call. Give me attitude, saying he only stepped away for a minute, no friendly greeting, rough tone...i need ID and credit card. Does what he has to, and give the key with room number. No pleasantries. Sets the tone for someone's experience. Don’t take the job of customer service if you are a disgruntled fool all of the time.

The hotel is situated very close to several chemical plants near by. If something were to happen this place would be to close for comfort. They also charged me $100 for incidentals because the reservation was through a third party. I was not aware of this.

I visit this property weekly and find the property nice and clean every visit. Friendly staff. The only complaint was one of the beds on the second floor. Very uncomfortable which caused me to have to change rooms.
