"This is my favourite budget-friendly hotel to stay at in the UK. This is my second stay and this time it was during a heatwave, so I really appreciated the a/c. The rooms are well appointed and clean. The showers are powerful, the beds could be more comfortable, but they will do. The hotel is a two minute walk from a massive Waitrose supermarket and the rooms come equipped with a mini fridge to store whatever you need to. "The location is absolutely beautiful and incredibly picturesque. Our room was amazing, very spacious, spotless, and featuring a fantastic double shower which was a real highlight. The bar staff in particular were exceptional throughout our stay, friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful, which really added to the overall experience. "Really helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast very good. Restaurant was worth using, but the prices of wine are atrocious. Stick to the beers. Rooms on the small size but otherwise fine. Worth walking down to the church, lovely river and cricket pitch."

"The room was lovely and clean. The air con in the room was very much appreciated given the fact it was so hot when we visited! Staff were so lovely and friendly. The grounds and lovely and safe, so our kids could wander around and feel a bit more independent even though we could still see them. Lovely, quiet pool, and the kids loved the peacocks!"

"As an older property built in 1799 it was wonderful. The building was quaint and clean. It was outdated in decoration but that is what adds to it's charm. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The biggest issue we had was the water pressure. Our shower was barely a trickle and made it hard to take a shower. Otherwise our stay was Wonderful!"
