"The lady owner was friendly and lovely from the moment I arrived. I was made to feel very welcome and was even treated to a plate of home made biscuits. The bed was comfy and I had an amazing night's sleep. Breakfast was served at a time that was convenient to me and everything was very fresh. The bread and jam were also home made. The property is in a very quiet location and in lovely gardens and provides a great place to stay during a visit to the lake district. "

"The room was very clean and the beds very comfortable. The room had a GHD hairdryer, a good selection of tea and cofees. Communal areas were spotless and nicely decorated. We had a a good stay. The one small gripe was the cooked breakfast. Sausages and tomatoes were undercooked, it came with toasted sourdough but, it needed a softer bread. Especially as no baked beans allowed. "The staff were some of the best we have ever met and met our needs perfectly. They ensured we had a room that was suitable and went the extra mile to achieve this so a big thank you. The property is in the process of being updated but this didn't affect our stay except perhaps to see how well it appears to be going and I'm sure when this is finished they will have a hotel to be proud of. They have only owned this hotel for about 6 months and it is obvious they are making huge efforts to update...
