"This is a beautifully situated old mill on a gentle stream with gorgeous grounds. Idyllic. Just outside Lymington but a short 8 minute drive into town or to the ferry. Dinner was good with excellent service. Nice room, comfy beds, good bathroom. We were there on the hottest day of the year so it was very hot in the room but a fan was provided which helped."

"Great location - walking distance to town centre for shops and restaurants and cafes - short drive to beach. Had a takeaway from the Thai restaurant - very good Accommodation was very comfortable and hosts very friendly. Breakfast was put out for us to help ourselves in the pottery shop each morning and was a good start to the day with fresh fruit and croissants. Reliable WiFi we were able to watch Wimbledon with no problems. All in all a delightful stay and would definitely stay again."

The grounds and gardens were beautiful, such a tranquil environment and a fitting setting for such an interesting and attractive property. The hotel is steeped in history, Super amenities. Comfortable room with cosy beds. The staff were friendly and welcoming; very helpful and accommodating of additional requests. An open buffet of both cooked and continental breakfast; everything was fresh and tasted yummy. Perfect way to start...

Shops and restaurants and bars were of walkable distance, rooms had everything we needed and staff were friendly and more than helpful with any other needs. Luxury bedsheets and duvet and decent aircon. Staff all lovely. Breakfast was fine. I had salmon and scrambled eggs on the first morning. The salmon was pretty tasteless and the eggs were dry - very disappointing and not expected from this establishment. Next morning I had smashed avocado and poached eggs which were nicer, but not...

"My daughter and I decided to have a few nights away and as we had the sun on our side for the week we decided to stay in the UK. We came across this hotel and although expensive we decided we weren't paying for flights and booked two nights. How very special from the moment we arrived and had our car parked for us. Lovely Zara and Eugania helped with our check in and showed us around the hotel, outdoor pool and spa. What a wow factor when we were shown to our Croquet room, all air conditioned,...

"Absolutely lovely oasis of tranquility in the New Forest. We took our small dog and everything was catered for from bowls and towels in the room to a washing station and poo bags. Staff were amazing, busy but always helpful and chatty. Food was top notch, as were the cocktails and a lovely breakfast. Can’t fault it, oh and there was air con in the room……. Thank god!"
