"Wonderful price and location. Very clean and basic set-up though kettle and tea/coffee provided. The main negative was that the room was a sauna as there was no air conditioning. They had kindly provided a fan but during the UK heatwave this was insufficient. Having said that, if the temperature was normal I think we'd have had a very comfortable stay. Staff were lovely and super location."

She gave us access after hours, checked on us in the morning and gave us tea and toast after breakfast hours, checked on our welfare, held our bags for us when we went into Oxford, and gave us waters in the heat wave. The sheets were not very clean and the bathroom garage was not emptied when we checked in, but the shower was good and there was a fan and tea provided in the room with decently comfortable beds. A great place!"

"We had a very good time at the Pointer would stay again. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was extremely spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful."

"The room was better than the main doors and reception of the hotel. But really want Great mold stain on pillow, bold blood stain on bed quilt, cushions had white stains on them. Hallway smelt of ciaagtte. Didn't go to the pub below. So can't rate it. Was only an 8 min walk from the shopping centre so that was amazing."

"Despite being on the road the property was unexpectantly quiet. Once you get used to fact you are underground is a great place to stay. Had challenges with the door - never figured out how to close it after me when going out. Rang the number provided but nobody picked up."

"The room was very clean and comfortable. The shower was great and I appreciated the fan in the room. I slept well, it was quiet. Breakfast was a little disappointing. Everything was there that I wanted but the fruit was tinned, toaster didn't work well, cooked breakfast was overdone. Not awful but I've had better. That being said, for what I paid it wasn't bad value."
