As a result of the COVID-19 outbreak, travelling now comes with more challenges. Take a look at the following information before jumping on your flight to Thousand Islands:

• Know if any restrictions apply to both your origin and destination. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so be sure to check before you lock in your flight.
• When you pass through airport screening, keep your face mask on. You will be asked to briefly lower it for ID purposes. Those who refuse to wear a face mask may be denied entry or boarding.
• You're no longer required to hand your boarding pass (electronic or paper) directly to a TSA officer. Instead, position your pass on the reader and then hold it up to allow the agent to visually inspect it.
• One container of liquid hand sanitizer is now permitted in your carry-on luggage. It must not be larger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll have to take it out of your bag for X-ray screening.
• Remove items from your pockets, such as your wallet, coins and keys, and place them in your carry-on rather than the bins. This will minimize handling during screening.
• Separate any food you're carrying for screening. Food items often set off the alarm. Placing them in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA officer to handle and inspect your belongings.

• WestJet - this airline is known for cleaning with disinfectant and electrostatic cleaning.
• American Airlines - this airline is known for providing passenger masks and cleaning with disinfectant.
