Weekend away

Lovely warm and friendly staff. Great breakfast and taste! Booked us a cab which arrived and on time. Room spacious and clean. Bathroom too small and bed squeaky. But would stay again!

Went to the premises a couple of times in the afternoon but no one was there. Called the phone number and left a message that was no answered until around 5,30pm on the day we were booked to stay there. Parking was a real issue. We had to cancel and travel to Cheshire and we were told that no refund would be made because we had booked via Expedia. Not happy.

Clean, comfortable and friendly

You will receive a very warm welcome on arrival, nothing is too much trouble for this lovely couple. The place is a little dated but spotlessly clean, my room was lovely and warm when I returned late in the evening. The bed was fairly comfortable but the pillows rather hard ... would benefit from some new pillows and bedding. Breakfast was very nice, again with attentive and friendly service from the hosts. I would definitely stay again.

Comfortable, but small

The room was comfortable but quite small, and the bathroom was tiny! Our host was helpful and we had a pleasant chat over a simple but nice breakfast. Overall, the accommodation was fine in all aspects, it was just very small.

Stop over for an event. Perfectly suitable

The room was comfortable and spacious. Beds were firm but gave a good nights sleep. Despite being on the main road it was not noisy . We had a family room for 3 but only given towels for 2 and mugs for tea making facilities in room for two only.However this was very quickly redressed when noted.Breakfast was very good. Owner very courteous , even when we had to call him after midnight for forgetting door code!!!! Only complaint the glass on top of dressing table was cracked in several places and still there ? Why? I cut my finger slightly as a result!

Comfortable B&B.

We were made welcome by our hostess, who seemed to be running the house single handed. We were able to order our breakfast for any time after 7, which was particularly convenient for us. Unfortunately the heating was out of order for which we could not blame our hostess, who provided a portable heater for our room, which did much to make our stay comfortable. The heating was fixed on the morning we left.

Where was the Heating It did'nt come on till 10pm

Lets just say I won't be in a hurry to go back. Although the room was clean, the heating did not come on till 10pm. In December that is inexcusable. The radiator was fairly ineffectual. It need "bleeding". The breakfast was ok if you did'nt have a cooked one!!!!!!. The area generally was a bit depressing. It makes me appreciate my home area.
