Staff were great, Room was good and reasonably comfortable but we fail to see how it qualified to be DeLux. Just little things would make a huge difference, For instance TV was mounted too high on the wall and therefore not comfortable to watch. Lighting was gloomy. "Room was clean & comfortable stayed in the separate annex"

"Lovely clean room with a nice bathroom. Perfect for a short stay. Came with tea/coffee, a television and free WI-FI. No mini fridge. We didn't need one so it wasn't an issue. Breakfast was lovely with a choice of hot food and a continental breakfast. No road noise or unusual bumps in the night so had a wonderful, peaceful sleep. Useful parking at the rear of hotel and easy access to the town of Thirsk. Overall a lovely stay. Lovely staff. Lovely food and a lovely part of the world. "

"We had a very nice overnight stay at the Crown. Staff were kind & welcoming on arrival, the room was clean and comfortable and well appointed, we had dinner in the restaurant which was really nice, drinks were a big pricey but I guess that's hotel pricing. Breakfast was really good, freshly prepared and very tasty. All in all really good, the only minor negative was the dated bathroom in our room, however the shower was really good, powerful and plenty of hot water so, does that really matter? "
