Motels in Town of Lewisboro

"The only thing that I had real issue with was the Goosefeather. I had dinner there Thursday night, and it was fine. Why? Because there were only a handful people having dinner there as well. Friday night, I tried to have dinner there, and I was told that there were no tables available (or bar seats for that matter) all night. They did not suggest any solutions and brushed me off. The hostesses were rude. Then I asked the front desk if I could have food delivered from there, and they said yes. I went back to order food (the food is exensive enough to begin with, and then they added tip (which i didn't realze until later and I added a tip as well) as well as 10 dollar delivery charge. I said nothing, and ordered the food. It arrived moments later in a paper bag, and each course was in a cardboard box. IF I ever go back to this hotel, I will never set foot in Goosefeather again. This hotel is not friendly to people coming from a big city solo who do not drive car, and they only have the one restaurant (and place for breakfast which was NICE). So IU warn anyone in a similar situation from staying at this hotel. The rooms were reasonable, but constantly going into town by taxi to eat somewhere else or eating at the Goosefeather really adds up and wouldn't necessarily be a good experience for the solo traveler. Isn't our money as good as anyone else/s???"

"Pool was DISGUSTING and could not swim in it. Brown slime all over the filters and floors, human hair floating all over the pool. Green stuff staining the walls of the pool. And there was no hot tub and falsely advertised. The room was OK except the bathroom; there was black stains on the door and floors that a simple scrubbing with bleach could have removed. Was not worth $205 for the night. "

"The layout is great: location and facilities, especially breakfast, is top-shelf. The rooms are more than tired, they are worn and decayed. Furniture works but is archaic. Bathroom fixtures are not designed for an adult. For example, the toilet is too low for an adult. Bathroom sink was cracked. Caulking on tile was missing. Staff is outstanding: polite and helpful. "

"The hotel is well located in downtown Norwalk just off I 95. It has a full restaurant and a keurig in the room for coffee. I have an electric car and AmpUp has two charging stations in the parking lot."
