"Lighting is strange. Amenities were not that good. Housekeeper threw away a box FULL of medical devices that I needed and then denied it. That wasn’t good. Coffee maker was not clean. Towels were thin. But great location. Large room. Nice owners with cute dogs… breakfast was OK and we never used the Spa so cannot comment on that. Overall it was “fine”."

"This is a very nice older family run property in a very convenient central location on the edge of the Jewish Ghetto and near the university. The room was clean with a compfortable bed. The bathroom was completely adequate but small. The breakfasy buffet was ample. A good value, well located choice."

"Although recently reopening after a refurbishment, the property did not seem especially modernised and the room and public spaces were much the same as our previous visit 10 years ago, albeit with a decade’s more use. The restaurant was incredibly overpriced, although the food was good, but the team were clearly very new and so service was inconsistent and missed bread, amuse bouche etc for some tables; wine list was forgotten and then the wine itself was not poured for 30 minutes until we...

"The hotel was in a good location with easy access to central Venice. We had picked this stay for the spa facilities but this was undergoing maintenance and another guest had told us that the hotel charges extra for guests to use it (per hour) which was disappointing. The staff were polite and helped us check in quickly and did allow us to store our bags at the hotel on the last day after check out"

"Hotel is acceptable. Unfortunately they offerus “one room left”, but we had to pay for dinner and breakfast. The dinner was bad - limited number of choice and the quality of food pretty bad. The breakfast was not to our liking and was noisy - too many people. We will not stay there again."

"One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The understated quality was evident from the moment we checked in when we were invited to the garden for a glass of wine whilst the check-in paperwork was done and our bags taken to the room. The happy hour, the helpful staff and the breakfast were superb. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be within walking distance of the beach tourist sites but still have a sort of oasis to which to retreat."
