"Stay away from this place!
Awful experience with checking in. The person in the office kept asking if I was someone else despite holding my ID in her hand with my name on it. Hotel stated I didn’t have a reservation so I had to show her my hotels.com app and then she gave me a key to the room. I was unable to properly communicate with the person due to a language barrier.
Upon entering the room, it was dusty and extremely outdated with damage to some of the furniture. The carpet was stained and didn’t appear to have been vacuumed. The room was freezing. We were unable to locate a thermostat but there was a space heater and an electric fireplace in the room. I turned those on but then the electricity went out.
When I went to the office to let the hotel know, there was a sign posted stating the office is closed for an hour. Without being able to turn on any heat (it was in the 40s that day) and having no lights, we decided to leave and request a refund. The hotel lied to the hotels.com representative and stated we never checked in so I have not received the refund. "
