Quite remote and very calm and serene. Excellent place to see the Northern Lights if the weather is clear. If Northern Lights is your goal then you probably should stay in Tromso City and book a van tour that drives you around to the best location for viewing depending on the conditions.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The place was very clean, quiet, and incredibly comfortable—definitely better than a hotel. It’s within easy walking distance of everything, and it made our holiday in Norway one of the best we've ever had. We highly recommend pre-booking your stay and asking for a sea view, as these options aren't available on some booking sites like Expedia, but can be arranged separately. We used the Get Your Guide app to book tours, and it made the trip even more amazing....

Fantastic holiday! The hotel was beautifully maintained, and the views from the superior rooms were spectacular! Main pick-up spot for the majority of tours, so you can roll out of bed and see the fjords (or roll right back into bed after a late-night watching the northern lights). Staff were friendly and helpful, couldn't fault anything. Thank you!

Room was big enough for what we wanted and bathroom was great - shower always had very hot water which is what we needed after being out in the cold. The bathroom floor was heated so any water from flush floor shower dried quickly and heated floor was great for thawing out your toes after a day out in sub zero temperature.
