"Great welcome for my early arrival. Easy to park. Check in was smooth although i wasnt asked if i would like to add breakfast. Room clean and a very welcome fan set up. 20%off food and drink so i stayed at the hotel for dinner. Limited choice but was nice and i ate outside. Following morning i was earlier than anticipated so i had time for breakfast. Unable to use the discount and i couldnt find anything that informed me i couldnt use it so this was annoying. "Located in Glaston, we used the old pheasant for an overnight base whilst travelling through. Family suite was generous in space, clean and comfortable. Kids had private sleeping space. We enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant and was looked after by the front of house team who were excellent. We stayed for breakfast and enjoyed both a continental and cooked breakfast. Food was value for money and service was fantastic throughout the visit. Would stay again. Value for money."

"Great pub/hotel/bistro in a beautiful peaceful village. Staff were extremely helpful. We had a wedding with so needed an early check-in and late return. Both were accommodated for. Room was clean, fresh. Continental breakfast was included in price. We also paid extra for cooked b/fast. Very nice freshly cooked, hot, good quality products. Nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend the Star Inn and stay there again. Or even go for a nice meal. Give it a go ! "

"Stayed here many times but disappointed the room (carpet) didn't look clean, bathroom, this is only room with a bath and this will be the third time I've had this room and the bath taps don't work you can only use the shower. Previously I've had water in the room but not this time. Didn't look like the tea, coffee, etc. had been topped up"

"It was good value for money, especially for a 1 night stay. The room was fairly small and decor was functional. The bathroom was well equipped. Staying after a hot day we found that the windows did not open far and the small desk fan was inadequate. As rooms do not have a/c they really need a floor standing fan with a fast speed."
