"What stood out? Everything stood out, from the way the attractive artwork perfectly matched the accent wall, to the ambience of the communal dining room, the comfort of the bed and pillows, the soft orange glow of the fireplace in the dark when I walked in to the room for the first time - care and attention to detail was evident in every spotless crevice. Breakfast was fun and delicious, every moment in the room whole working or relaxing was quiet and delightful. 10/10"

"The staff/owners of River Valley Inn are so incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful! I ended up having to check in much later than anticipated, but they made sure I had no issues getting access to my room. When I had issues with a key card malfunctioning due to the cold weather, once again the staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a new working card immediately. The room was clean, spacious, and exactly as advertised. I will stay here again!"

"This is an excellent place to stay while in the Amherst/Hadley area. Convenient location, a friendly and welcoming team of staff, a complimentary breakfast (with some healthy options available) served every morning, a swimming pool, and plenty of space, both in the guest rooms as well as in the common areas of the lobby. "Latchis Hotel has great character and a great location in downtown Brattleboro. It’s about 40 minutes from Mt. Snow and 50 to Okemo so a good base for us since we planned to ski both. Our room was clean, linens all perfectly fresh. Room was spatious enough for our family of four, comparable to the room sizes in the chain hotels. Padded benches at the foot of each bed were nice looking and very handy. Decor is funky - our room had a record player and some vinyl, rose red walls, older plumbing...

Our hosts were very kind, and put generous effort into providing delicious breakfasts, giving suggestions about local attractions, and allowing us as much or as little cat time as we wanted. The room we were in was very cozy, with a comfortable bed, and thoughtful touches such as a water kettle for tea or coffee, a small fridge, and a TV setup we didn’t take advantage of.
