"The room was very clean and roomy. I loved the tile shower and how hot the water was. The front desk staff was very helpful and cheerful. As were the people that cleaned up everyones breakfast dishes. The breakfast itself was really great with a selection of eggs, meat, mushrooms (that I loved) waffles, yougurt fruit and breads. I looked forward to it each morning. No idea about the parking since I took a train to Bath. It's also incredibly well situated to the city center."

"There was no convenient way to use the hair dryer with a mirror making it problematic. Had to move heavy side table to use plug. The highboy doors didnt close properly and swung open on their own (needs to be fixed). The parking was interesting getting up the steep hill, but we managed."

"Great hotel in a handy location...easy flat walk into the city. Everything is fresh and clean and the breakfast has a great choice. The only thing that lets it down is the extortionate cost for parking...way beyond anywhere else in Bath! We ended up using JustPark and paying £16 for over 24hrs parking rather than the £50 at the hotel!"

"I stayed here for the Jane Austen festival and the staff were so helpful. I was traveling solo so they were kind enough to help me finish getting my dresses on. They were all so wonderful, the breakfast was tasty and it was a very lovely place to stay. I would not hesitate to stay there again."

"Disappointing stay, with poor soundproofing and an eye-watering bar bill.
The walls are paper-thin, and I could hear practically everything throughout the night. I was eventually woken up at 5am by another guest using their toilet. Nobody expects complete silence in a hotel, but when you can hear that level of noise from neighbouring rooms, something clearly isn’t right. A decent night’s sleep should be the bare minimum.
The bar wasn’t much better either. I ordered two drinks expecting to pay...

"Great location, very boutique style hotel.
The lighting in the room needs to be improved dramatically. It was dim and difficult to read a book.
Minor issue, but the coffee cups provided were old and had significant stains, a real put off if using them for coffee or tea.
The doors in lobby made significant noise that carried up through the second floor. Perhaps look at a way to dampen that."

"Excellent stay at a traditional styled Inn with neat, immaculate and aptly named well appointed rooms. Everything you need for a short stay, super helpful staff and a great atmosphere where we were welcomed openly and served good food. Great location for access into Bath, racecourse etc. plenty of parking and separate access to accommodation if you’re arriving later and not wishing to eat etc. We hope to return to Bath and we would 100% book The Charlcombe Inn again."

"On first arriving to this hotel all seemed well, staff member was polite, explained all we needed to know and helped us to our room, once in the room we noticed that it needed to be maintained better as there was cracked tiles in the bathroom, frayed carpet areas, paint chips and marks on the doors. The furniture such as the dressing table is bubbled up and the tv remote was dirty also. The bed was very hard and left me with a very painful back, the pillows were flat and so had to fold them to...
