"The room was very clean and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. We stayed just one night and had to leave early before breakfast was served, but we were provided with an excellent pack up with tea. Will definitely stay there again en route to ferry crossings."

"I had a one night stay here for the summer solstice. The room was good, bed was nice the surrounding beautiful and serene, but the food was awful and exorbitantly priced. My order of salmon and 2 very small potatoes came in cold so I took it back. Well they warmed it for me but it got me wondering why it came cold in the first place.
The waiting staff didn't seem bothered"

"Callum was absolutely fantastic in making up for the deficiencies of the bar staff, who were slow, and nonchalant. He went the extra mile and restored my faith in good customer service.
Pool, gym and facilities are great, as was the room and plenty of parking."

"I was very disappointed with my stay at the Holiday Inn Portsmouth. The price of the room did not match the quality I received. The room felt very outdated, and the bathroom had noticeable dust and buildup, giving the impression that it had not been cleaned thoroughly. Overall, the accommodations fell well below the standards I have come to expect from Holiday Inn.

"The hotel is in need of an update, with attention to detail for any renovations. The walls of the hotel rooms are thin and you can hear people in neighbouring rooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially given one of our party were being disturbed by a party in the neighbouring room. Staff moved them to another room. Breakfast was ok. The spa/swimming pool is in need of some tlc."
