Room was huge - we had the disabled access one. The bathroom is the biggest I’d seen. A few stains on the carpet but they been scrubbed as best they could. Would have liked some bedside lights, ended up using the TV on a scrambled signal to give a little light. Staff were friendly and really helpful. To the point of intervening with parking because it’s free at the weekend. Top tip - if you’re heading to Winchester, get the bus. Bus stop a short walk away, the route I direct, every 10mins. £3 til 6pm then £1.

Village Hotel never fail to impress and their model is so perfect: amazing friendly staff who are proactive in ensuring your needs are met, be it at the bar, check-in or housekeeping. The rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean. My only criticism is the decision to only have rooms with showers and no baths!

Staff at check in were great. Car park was very full because there's a public gym at the hotel. Hotel rooms are weird - there's only a window in the bathroom. No fresh air available in the actual hotel room. Air con system is rubbish. Room was dusty throughout. Terrible night's sleep because there was a thumping noise coming from above my room - it sounded as if we were directly under the gym and there was always someone throwing weights at all hours. Not a good experience.

Staff were great ,the maintenance man was told the room was empty and walked in whilst myself and girlfriend were naked the blind was stuck down and the iron didn't work also the glass door to the bathroom was a bit of a shock otherwise great thanks
