"Lovely 100-year old house repurposed as guest house. Modern additions such as air con and shower room added around original building with wooden sliding doors and futon beds. Lovely, helpful owners met us and showed us everything - thank you!"

"The room was spacious with 2 individual beds and a bunk bed for the kids, small kitchenette and efficient bathroom. The hotel offers a wide variety of amenities and loaner items in case you forgot something. The hotel is located within 10 minutes from. Nijo castle and a subway station. Bus 29 stops in front of Nijo castle and takes you to Kinkaku-ji temple. We would definitely stay here again!"

"The house was amazing. Very warm, convenient location to relax in the city. I would recommend. As other reviewers said, there is a motion detector light going off many times at night and you can hear a bit the cars in the night passing, but that was not a problem for us at all. Would definitely rebook."

"I really enjoyed staying here, the rooms very very spacious and clean. The staff was always so nice and always greeted us with happiness, kindness and respect. It had everything we needed - not to mention the pjs :) we loved staying here it was very comfortable and easy to navigate to. "This place was way better than I was expecting. It is large and clean and very traditional and has great amenities like a washer dryer, a great bathroom and a nice upstairs. Just my wife and rented it but it could easily comfortably hold a family of 6. The people running it ere super nice and very responsive and helpful. I plan to stay there again!"
