"The property is a beautiful old Greek Revival house located in a quiet village. It’s about a quarter mile off the state highway so virtually no traffic sounds. The proprietor is friendly and helpful and prepares the breakfasts fresh (which were DELICIOUS!). The room was spacious and clean. This is an old house and as such does suffer a bit in accessibility. The steps up to the porch could use a bannister, there was no ramp, There was a small step up to access the shared bathroom on the ground floor (2 or 3 inches?). Breakfast appeared to be identical for all guests and I’m not sure if they had any facility for accommodating dietary restrictions. The twin bed in the Red room could do with a mattress topper."

"Beautiful location right in the lake and 2 blocks from the Hall of Fame. We liked the covered outdoor chairs to look at the lake, as well as chairs to sit and have lunch by the marina. Sadly they had a big fire in late July shutting down the restaurant, but thankfully the hotel is still open. We will stay here again when we come back. Nice staff, clean rooms, warm shower!"

"Very nice hotel, breakfast was just bagels and cereal and it would’ve been nice to see the fire pit in use since the weather had been wonderful, but the staff was nice and the cleanliness of the hotel rooms was pretty good except the comforter on the bed had some spots on it but compared to some other local places we’ve stayed, this was the nicest!"

"The Lake House is terrific... casual, homey, and relaxing. The outside stairs could probably use some work, but over all the place is great. Early morning kayaking is wonderful. Close to Cooperstown and Glimmerglass. We had a very relaxing vacation. Thank you!"

"This location has a rustic "lodge/cabin" like feel. Shower worked great with almost instantaneous hot water available. We arrived a little early and had to wait a few minutes for the owner/operator to return from running a nearby errand. She was very attentive to our needs and extremely warm and welcoming."
