What a unique experience we had at the historic inn. We showed up in the middle of a heavy downpour and walked into a beautiful lobby with a fire going. They had lots of seating in the lobby, a puzzle and a chessboard to sit and relax. We enjoyed a glass of wine from the bar off the lobby and dinner at the restaurant. It was a fun place to stay and convenient for us as we were going to FallingWater the next day.

Its a very unique and historic property. Loved being top of the mountain and enjoying the sunsets. It is also conveniently located for so many of the wonderful attractions in the Laurel Highlands area. It's well maintained, but old. Service was good. Updating the technology and AV would be welcome. The restaurant was very nice and a good value. It's one of the only good hotels in the Ohiopyle area, so we may come back. We love this area.

Beautiful resort!! Rooms are very clean & nice bed & lots of pillows! Close to the falling water house, which we visited. Amazing views from front porch!! We, had a problem with all the steps. No elevators!! Not a great place for seniors. I wish there were bars in the shower to hold on to. Breakfast was just average.they could step it up for 40.00 for a couple!

A very pleasant, if brief, stay. Charming ambience and terrific views all around. A great on-site restaurant. Spacious verandas for watching sunsets in an adirondack or rocking chair, perhaps with refreshment in hand. Our king-sized bed was very firm, and there was terrific water pressure for a nice shower (seemingly a rarity in modern hotels, from our personal experience). You can feel the history of the place, but you're never lacking for amenities that you'd expect from a nice modern establishment,

I was truly impressed by the historic significance of this resort. The amenities were excellent and made it easy to enjoy a full stay without ever needing to leave the property. The only drawback was the lack of accessibility; navigating the stairs to reach the upper floors or the lower levels was difficult. I would highly recommend adding an exterior ramp to improve access for all guests. For my next visit, I will be sure to request a room on the main floor wing to avoid the stairs.

Historic means NO elevators or other conveniences found in modern hotels. However, the property was beautiful, wonderfully maintained with a very excellent restaurant.

The overall experience was pretty good with a nice sprawling front porch, beautiful views, welcoming lobby and good restaurant. The room was disappointing. It definitely needed to be updated. It was small with no fridge or mini safe. Be prepared to take the stairs with your luggage. No elevator!

Excellent older Hotel. Lobby and grounds are beautiful. The rooms reflect the age of the hotel in that they lack modern amenities like mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Outlets are scarce. The climate control was loud but effective and didn't hear any outside noise. Restaurant was very nice as were the pools. Also there isn't an elevator so you mostly have to do stairs but we were on the highest floor and if we parked in the upper lot only about 10 steps. from the lobby it was over 30.

Really cool, old hotel. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Restaurant food was really good, and the bed was comfortable! The room was a little dated, and didn't have outlets on both sides of the bed, and I also wished it had a mini fridge and microwave, but overall it was an enjoyable stay and we'd go back!

The views are breathtaking. The room is a little dated but it is a historical setting so I get that. Restaurant is a little overpriced so we went elsewhere for dinner but had an excellent breakfast the next morning.
