The room was updated appropriately and the bed was super comfortable. Alas, this time of year the restaurant wasn’t open until Friday. They have a lovely deck to enjoy every moment outside.
We loved our stay! It was short notice but that wasn’t a problem:) Staff were kind and helpful! We had a nice, quiet evening. Thank you! We will be back :)

Great price for this time of year and loved staying in a rural scenic area with a beach walk just minutes away. The room was very good and well equipped but the bathroom was unacceptable - a terrible musty (mold?) smell with laminate tiles moving up and down as you walked. Also a burn hole in one of the tiles and a non-functioning baseboard heater that should be removed or scraped and painted. Fortunately the smell was contained within the bathroom if we closed the door.
TV didn't work . Restaurant where you check in was closed so had to to find a guest to ask about check in. Bed was comfortable and there was hot water. Motel has alot more potential but gave a vibe like it was on the decline

The hotel is undergoing renovations and the photos of the rooms on Expedia do not necessarily match what is there. I booked a king bed and had a room where one of the double beds was removed and one remained, so it was very spacious. The ceiling had been painted and bugs were stuck to the paint, but except for the coffee maker, the room was very clean. Nice sheets and towels. It was priced according to these elements. Quiet and convenient. Helpful staff. I did not try the restaurant but the menu had many items.
I want to share an honest experience from my stay. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced, and I understand that this was a motel, so I was not expecting high-end facilities.
Unfortunately, we had an unexpected situation. We were given only one room key, and we accidentally locked ourselves out with both the room key and our U-Haul key inside. I completely understand that this was our mistake. However, what was difficult was not having anyone available to help us.
I called the person responsible for the motel and was initially told he would get back to me, but he never did. I called again and explained that our U-Haul key was locked inside and that we had nowhere else to go. I was told there was nobody available to help, there was no spare key, and all the rooms were booked. This was around 7–8 p.m., even though the expedia website stated that the front desk was open from 0800am to midnight. I called again later but received no answer. What disappointed me most was that nobody followed up with us afterward—not even a quick call to see whether we were okay or had managed to get back into the room.
Thankfully, we met a couple and another woman who were complete strangers to us. They stayed with us for almost an hour and genuinely tried to help, even using their cards and trying different options. Their kindness during such a stressful situation meant so much to us.

First, the restaurant was very nice. Good solid food and an enthusiastic crew working hard. It should be reviewed separately from the hotel because:
Second, the three bedroom detached house we rented was not good. An overflowing coffee can of cigarette butts on the front porch. It was not clean(“filthy” to quote my adult daughter). The walls had all kinds of smashed bugs and just dirt on them. The floors were not to be walked on without foot protection. The microwave mounted over the stove looked like it had five years of accumulated bacon splatter on its face. The kitchen cupboards had half used bread and such left over from who knows when.
The furniture resembled stuff someone might recycle from the local landfill.
It’s a bad sign when you walk into a place and the first thing you do is pull out your phone to search for an alternative. There was no alternative. It was a holiday weekend and we needed a spacious base for our exploration. Everything else up and down the road was booked, so we stayed. I asked about the state of that house while in the restaurant(which is also the front desk) and the man said “oh yeah, we rent that out to a lot of traveling Hydro crews and such”. Not really a justification for its poor state.
This house really should NOT be rented out in its current state. Even to traveling work crews.
I can’t comment on the hotel rooms as I didn’t ever see inside one.
In summary: a nice and sufficient restaurant. The 3 bedroom “family” unit? HARD PASS.
Thanks Expedia for the refund. As in my file, when I arrived at the property there was no one there to check in with. I had not received communication that my reservation was not being honoured. I will continue to use Expedia.
Proprietors were incredibly gracious and friendly. The room was slightly musky but very clean and comfortable. Our kids particularly enjoyed the delicious cinnamon buns from the cafe in the morning.
We booked two rooms at the last minute each with a single double bed. When we arrived there was a note to call for the code to the lock box for our keys. The lock box was broken so we really didn’t need the code. Out
