"No elevators, so if stairs are an issue, request rooms that don't require stairs. Ocean view is peaceful & we discovered our windows opened so the air was wonderful & we left it open the whole week. If traffic noise bothers you, don't get an ocean view as freeway is right next to the Inn. However, we enjoy that type of "white noise" to sleep so we enjoyed it along with the trains. Our room had a huge shower stall, very roomy, but an extra silver grip bar on the shower wall and no-slip strips on the floor of the shower would provide extra safety. We also wish the shower head had a detachable hand-held sprayer to help with rinsing as the showerhead is very high. An ice machine is not on every floor nor is a baggage cart, but even though no elevators, a baggage cart would be helpful at top of stairs. First hotel I've seen with a handsoap dispenser on the bathroom wall...yay!!! No bars of barely-used soap..yay!! Shower had similar dispensers for body wash & shampoo. Walk to beach took 10 minutes, pier was 20 minutes... Restaurant was closed for renovations so we'll catch it next time, but my previous visit had a great experience both in-restaurant and room service. Wonderfully comfy beds with 4 soft pillows (we had 2 queens), fridge, microwave, nice size flat screen TV.
