This is a very well kept hotel. We experienced one of the worst cold front in years! We stayed a few with some friends. While most of the stay went well. The master suite is the way to go as far as room and comfort. We did however have a couple of issues. there was mold in the bathroom. A LOT of mold. Over the toilet, under the sink, and under the vanity. There was also some questionable electrical work that was just covered with a piece of paper and not an electrical outlet or cover. We did find some discrepancies in some of our bar tabs at the pool. A couple of drinks added here and there, charges for breakfast at the restaurant for things we didn’t eat etc. It might have been oversights and they did get reversed but more of a pain than anything.

I love L’Occitane brand and they have it as amenities (shampoo, soap lotion etc). I was there for 4 days and didn’t need cleaning of the room, but I only asked for water, so the next day the cleaning lady brought me the water without me asking again she was so nice

We had the suite. For the price, comparable resorts in the United States would be 2-3 times as expensive. It was mitiuclously cleaned and maintained. The pool was wonderful. The beach was quiet and private. The neigborhood was beatuitful and you could tell that this was likely the premier neigborhood for the metro area. That buffet was good offering a wide variety of breakfest options. The staff was friendly and attentive. I cannot say enough good things about this place.

This hotel was fine, but nothing special. Did not feel like a resort but more like a fancier motel 6. Staff was very friendly, but to get more coffee to the room was near impossible, they acted like the Nespresso was gold and would take over an hour just to get one pod brought to the room. The food we did have was decent and again staff was nice. Beside not being able to get coffee, it took forever to even get a drink by the pool and there was no other guest at the pool but us. We had to talk to 3 or 4 staff members who would keep sending us to someone else to get a beer. If you are thirsty, plan on being thirsty for a long time😂 Room was clean however and housekeeping very nice. Would not go back though.

I love this hotel! This is our second time here and they don’t disappoint. My only problem this trip was in the description of the room. It advertises a private hot tub, which implies a tub that has the capability to heat water and maintain temperature. What is actually included is a small bathtub with hydrojets. In our experience, the hotel water was warm at best when we used this tub and the hydrojets were not usable (water went EVERYWHERE). In any case, we still had a great time and enjoyed the amazing views from our balcony.

I was hesitant to stay at this hotel because of the negative reviews I read online. Many people said the place was old, poorly maintained, and had a bad smell. But honestly, from the moment I walked in, I got a good vibe. The staff were very friendly—from the person who helped with my luggage to the one who checked me in. No complaints there. The room was spacious and clean. It didn’t feel old or have any strange odors. I felt relaxed in my room. Very different from the Holiday Inn I stayed at on my last night—that hotel felt downright creepy.

Loved being some of the lone Americans at the resort! Highlights were the great pools, protected beach, and outstanding service. Eduardo, a server in the pool area, was amazing, even offering local info! He and his team were wonderful--many English speaking staff for a hotel not serving many English speakers... they were also patient with our Spanish and encouraging. Dora in housekeeping was also a delight, and we have no complaints about the accommodations. The concierge (Carlos) and the front desk staff were helpful. Fairly expensive for the week, but we understand the beach area is a bit more costly than surrounding areas. We were with three kids and two grandparents and couldn't have asked for an easier, more enriching experience. The wedding onsite was beautiful and expertly hosted! One area we felt could be better was for the price, you get just one small coffee pod per morning in the room, and the buffet was expensive for mornings we didn't eat that much... especially with children. In this price range, we would appreciate coffee in the room, and more breakfast options that are affordable beyond the buffet. Overall, we had a great experience. It's a beautiful hotel, pool and beach with a friendly, welcoming staff! Taxis were pretty affordable for exploring the city (though the price is always different depending on the cab driver). Beyond the beach, the city is not very walkable, so taxi's are necessary.
