"The Dashwood is a heritage building and obviously would have many challenges to maintain a top notch accommodation site. Along with being exceptionally clean Dashwood also does a very good job of keeping the authenticity of the building while adding modern improvements with a heritage touch (ie. new soaker tub, sink and toilet fit the look of an old fashioned bathroom). "We recently stayed for two nights at this hotel, having never stayed here before. It was absolutely spotless inside and our room felt spacious and quiet. The staff at the front desk and the housekeeping staff were equally friendly and helpful. I appreciated the convenient location and onsite parking. The coffee shop in the lobby was a perfect first stop! The filtered water station was also appreciated. "Craig in the restaurant was the best server I’ve ever had! And Reid the shuttle guy was pretty awesome too! The views from the room were pretty nice, and our room wasn’t ready when we showed up like 45 mins after check in time, so we got upgraded to the 4th floor with an ocean view."
