"Breakfast okay"

"Staff is very nice. Room was clean. Good shower pressure. Comfortable bed and pillows. Ask for a room on the opposite side of the building from the road. My room was on the street side and very noisy. Breakfast was kind of dissapointing. No hot choices. Bagels only no regular bread. Overall satisfied with my stay."

"For the price, the hotel isn’t terrible, but could definitely use some upgrading and maintenance. The elevator moved very slowly and was loud like it was struggling. The A/C in my room was very loud and barely blowing, and the ceilings in my room were cracked all the way around and down the middle. Property was clean overall, but definitely needs some work."

"The Bookhouse is a wonderful concept! Prioritizing books, making them accessible everywhere, is delightful. There were adventurous and playful touches, including the secret hide-away on the first floor, behind a bookcase. Housing a hotel in a very old house is another terrific choice. The restoration process is clearly in progress; it's understandable that it's a long-term project. Drawbacks were largely fixable. "Not well maintained, heating / cooling unit did not work well, and the bathroom was not well cleaned."

"Took longer to check in due to all the fees they want to stack on you (after paying in advance). Still have not received refund of my $100 deposit I had to put down, yet was in a room with burnt out light bulbs, a pass through wall fan that was broken and missing the dial to turn it on so the bedroom would not get cold, and the entire building reeked of some kind of lemon product that was overpowering anytime you entered the lobby/hallways."

"The room initially looked fine. But then we noticed the dirty towels and that the trash hadn’t been emptied. It took a bit to get clean towels and there seemed to be no real care about the problem."
