"If you plan to go and visit Flåm, the hotel is highly recommended. The location is perfect. The food and beverage at their restaurant are great. And the staff is helpful and kind. Also, welcome drink and compliment snack/drinks were really appreciated since we were tired by long drive. The whole experience at the hotel and Flåm was greatly amazing."

"Lovely hotel, but some aspects of the service could be improved I stayed for two nights from 3–5 November and overall found this to be a lovely hotel. I enjoyed my stay and would happily recommend the hotel itself. Unfortunately, my experience at reception took some of the shine off the stay. On my first evening, I returned to my room to find that my room card would not work. I went back to reception, where the gentleman on duty eventually managed to reprogramme it, although he seemed to have some difficulty doing so. The following evening exactly the same thing happened. I again had to return to reception, where the same gentleman was working. I mentioned that there appeared to be something wrong with the hotel's system, as this had now happened on two consecutive nights. Rather than apologising for the inconvenience, his response was simply a firm, "I don't know what's wrong." He reprogrammed the card, told me it was OK now and smiled. It wasn't a major problem, and I certainly wouldn't make too much of a faulty room card. However, having to return to reception on both evenings was inconvenient, and a simple "I'm sorry about that" would have been the normal and appropriate response. My other concern is the hotel's policy of charging a considerable hourly fee for even a one-hour extension to the normal checkout time. I can understand such a policy when a hotel is extremely busy, particularly during peak season. However, during my November stay Flåm was exceptionally quiet,"

"There is nothing better than a homely well run family hotel and Fleischers is exactly that. There is a super strong team spirit focused on delivering first class service. The hotel has so much character but has still managed to modernise sympathetically. Rooms were lovely. Pool was amazing and warm! The views were to die for even in the showers. Breakfast was simply lovely and I enjoyed everything with pots of English breakfast tea. I booked for 3 days but stayed for five and I will definitely go back. Food in the evening was very nice and i5 was nice to see community events running too. I lively character professional establishment. Thank you."

"This is the most wonderful place to stay in Voss. We had breakfast and dinner during our stay and the food was incredible. If you're a foodie like us, this is the place to book! At breakfast we were treated to homemade sausages, bacon, salami and cured meats. There was also cheeses, eggs, fresh fruit, loose leaf tea, fresh coffee.... I had 3 or 4 plates at breakfast, I couldn't stop! At dinner we enjoyed local mushrooms foraged from the woodlands around Voss and perfectly cooked Trout. The negroni I had after dinner was made with local gin and just delicious! The family who run the hotel are incredibly friendly and helpful. They care about making sure you have the best possible time, giving us tips on everything from souvenir shopping to weather apps. I don't usually write reviews but this place should not be missed!"
