"We were so excited for our stay at Ape Rosa, as my mother is from Florence and used to live nearby. The place definitely has classic Italian charm and is in a fantastic setting. However, we discovered so many issues that we had to check out after only one night. The bathroom had dozens of ants, both dead and alive, primarily in the shower so we couldn’t use the shower unless we wanted to step all over ants. "The check-in and staff were great. The room had a refrigerator that didn’t work and the heating/cooling system didn’t work. The breakfast buffet was very good. Strangely, they gave us a spoon and a knife but never a fork. The check-out was easy and they called us a cab right away. Bus C1 takes you right downtown to all the sights!"
