"Lovely quiet area to stay. We speak very little Spanish, they were so willing and patient with communication. The porch area was lovely. We enjoyed rocking and having an evening drink. There is a small store about a mile away. We went to bed early and were so surprised that 4 other couples were there for breakfast. Breakfast was a “typical” and very good. "

"The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast in the morning was fabulous. My partner and I really loved the tub. The shower was very nice, good water pressure and never ran out of hot water filling the giant tub and taking hot showers. It was a very unique property which was beautiful to walk around and interact with the dogs and other animals on the property. "

"We didn't have time for the breakfast, but the front desk staff was not at all helpful when we asked for a shuttle to the airport late in the evening so we could return our rental car. There was a giant cockroach in the bathroom, the vanity was falling apart, and there was mold/ dirt on the bathroom ceiling. "

"We were warmly greeted on our arrival by super-helpful Felipe. We had an early start our first morning and asked if a 6am breakfast (90 minutes before breakfast is usually served) would be possible. "The gentleman who was at the front desk walked out to the road. He asked for my be name and then took us to the gate and let us in. It's Costa Rica. We were WAY later than last call for check in. He took care of us. Nice little hotel. "

"Clean rooms and friendly staff. La Fortuna is about a 30 min drive. The friendly (Giovanni and Louis) make the drive worth it. We were able to spot sloth from the facility (guess we were lucky). I would definitely recommend it if you are on a budget. "

"The couple who owns the place was very nice, accommodating and friendly. You have to pay attention when you first arrive, as the area is not marked very well. the beds were very comfortable and the view from the balcony was perfect. "
