Travel has become increasingly frictionless and increasingly impersonal at the same time. We move through airports, apps, kiosks, and automated messages. Then occasionally you meet someone who reminds you that hospitality is not a set of instructions but a human gift, the gift of making a stranger feel welcome in a new place or unfamiliar situation. Jackie and Michael have that rare gift. Years from now, I may forget the details of the room, but I will remember the feeling of being genuinely welcomed and cared for during our stay at the Chamberson. P.S.
