Great place the most relaxing experience of my life. Only fault is other guests not watching their young kids which causes a lot of them running around while I’m trying to relax (pool, beach, yard)

Clean, comfortable, no pests. Friendly and helpful staff. Cozy and rustic plantation cabins. The outside furniture was a bit worn and many cobwebs in the rear. We didn’t have enough wash cloths, hand towels or coffee. We called for a delivery but they never came. Second request in person and they were immediately delivered. Will return.

The cottages were very cute and pretty well stocked. The views are amazing from everywhere. The bar food could use some improvement but it was convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

Our trip to Kauai was amazing and beautiful. We have no complaints about Waimea Plantation Cottages, but will say a few things we wished we had noticed before we booked. We loved having our own little cottage with plenty of amenities, and we liked having no elevators, and a lot of open space in February. Even though we had a "garden view" cottage, we could see the ocean from our bedroom window and our front porch. We loved walking just a few hundred feet each morning and evening to sit in some of the nice chairs and watch the sea, it is also a great beach for long walks.Staying in Waimea was nice because it is a cute, small town and not as crowded with tourists as other areas are. Here is what we wished we knew before we came. (We should have paid more attention!) The one bedroom garden view cottages are cute, but they do not look like the amazing, well-spaced cottages that appear in most photos of WPC. They are quite close to each other, and the overall feeling is more "Campground," than "Resort." There is no hot tub! We just assumed from the photos that there was a hot tub, but it's a cold wading pool! I personally did not like people hanging their laundry on the front porch (there are back porches that can be used, and free laundry facilities.), it just made it look a lot less classy overall. Wherever you choose to stay, Kauai is a beautiful place, and a visit will do wonders for your soul.

Our stay in Hawaii was amazing! We avoided most of the rain that the north shore was getting, and we were close to Waimea canyon. We had so many food options close by, and it was a short drive to multiple areas. This was a relaxing low key vacation away from the resorts. We cannot wait to come back.

A very nice property. Old school Hawaii with beautiful grounds, beach a walk away and great cottages with porches to enjoy your meals outside or just read. Staff was all nice. There were ceiling fans as well as AC but I found that the fans with open windows was perfect for me. Sounds of the waves at night provide nice background for sleeping. Kitchen has all the usual amenities and the bathroom was huge and lovely. Highly recommended.

This was my absolute favorite part of visiting Kauai. The staff was very kind, especially the night manager. Loved seeing the smiles on all of their faces. Food and drinks couldn't have been any better. The cottage, I fell in love with it. I rate it a 10.

It was a beautiful throwback to what makes Hawaii so amazing. And the waves at the adjacent beach provided a beautiful soundtrack to sleep by.

We loved our time at Waimea plantation cottages. Our only regret was that we did not stay longer than the four days. Truly a slice of paradise! Didn’t love the gal at the front desk upon check-in, but that was the only time we had to deal with her, fortunately. If you’re going to hang out at a pool, this is not your spot. The pool is there and it’s clean but that’s about it. No ambiance We will definitely be back

This is a great property if you are looking for a true 'get-away' vacation! It is very quiet and the rooms are very nice. Gives a real feel of the 'old Hawaii'.

Stayed here for an anniversary trip. Spent 8 nights in an ocean front cabin C. It was a 2bed 2 bath house with a large living room and a decent kitchen. Three was a front d ck and a rear deck. The rear deck had two Rick bg chairs and two Adirondack chairs. Below the rear deck was a cement slab with two lounge chairw, table w4 chairs, and a gas bbq. We were about 40yards from the beach. From the back patio, we could not see our neighbors. We had a feral cat that greeted us every morning and evening. Would not let you pet but hung out for food scraps. Check in was real easy and they give you real keys. The clerk was friendly and helpful. The property is real quiet and spread out. The restaurant attached was pretty good and had a cool self serve beer selection. Keep in mind these Cottages are a part of the areas history and are not modern except for the furniture and AC. We did find some cobwebs with spiders in the bathroom. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen came with everything needed but food items such as salt and pepper. They provide coffee which I didn't care for. Behr you go shopping, check the kitchen for coffee filters if you purchase coffee. We added the coffee filters we purchased to the drawer full of filters!! Just as the description says, they are next to a non swimming beach. The water appears to be pretty rough with rip currents. The black sands beach was nice to watch the sunsets which you'll have a good view of. Horses frequent the beach.
