"We stayed here to experience the Rail Explorers Elk River tour, which makes the hotel’s location convenient if one is coming from Ohio. The beds were comfortable! The hallway carpets and furniture were all banged up or stained. The guests seemed a little rowdy the night we stayed, including an incessant yapping dog. "Sarah checked us in and was extremely helpful. We had arrived early and our rooms were ready for check in. She assisted with recommendations for hiking and restaurants in the area. We stayed for two days and had a lovely time. The staff was nice and courteous. Very nice rooms with updated amenities. Definitely recommend staying here and will stay here again if I'm back in the area"

"Not the greatest neighborhood, but the bed was clean and comfortable, however the floor was filthy (as my husband had white socks on and they were black). "I had read reviews about this hotel recently, say it was clean and looked new renovated. We stayed on the 7th floor, definitely NOT renovated. Dirty carpet, dirty lobby. The area had a lot of homeless people wandering around, street were dirty and I didn’t feel safe. The hotel room it self was quiet. We slept and left right away. Would never stay here again!"

"We stayed because we needed enough room for 5, that was good. The building is old and alittle run down. First the door wouldn't open, we finally got it to open. We closed the door and needed something else from the car and the door wouldn't open. After several tries we finally got it open. The attendant had to come and take part of the threshold off the bottom of the door,so we could get in and out. I wouldn't stay there again."

"The hotel was difficult to get to. You can see it from the interstate, but when you get off at the exit, you can't see it. There are no signs directing you to the hotel. I finally found it.
