"Excellent location "

"We attended a birthday party. The hall was nice. We had an evening meal at the hotel, which was absolutely delicious. The room was quite disappointing, needing updating. The bedside lamps didn't work, but the staff were lovely"

"The room i had booked wss not ready at the dtated 3pm. We were in hurry so said we would take a different one. The check-in was otherwise easy. Our room was modern with a king size bed, a small seating area, a fridge ironing board and tea tray. The bathroom had a big shower and was pristine. "

"Arrived late at night and had trouble finding a car park space. Access around the building is one way but to exit you have to go through a locked gate and you need a code - as a guest who has just arrived you don't have this info. I called the hotel 3 times whilst stuck at the gate and no one answered. Luckily a guest walked past and gave me the code. Went around again but this time went in the multistorey up a level. Be warned this car park is VERY TIGHT and not all cars are parked well. When...

I’d say breakfast wasn’t cooked to order purely by the speed it appeared, it was standard English breakfast, though felt one rasher of bacon and one sausage was a bit of a poor show, when you generally get two of each of those items elsewhere. "Cleaning in the rooms was only surface-level. The chair in the room has a previous guest's spillage. The curtains were dirty, and the bed sheet had holes in it. The location was ideal."

"I booked the Royal Toby as a solo traveller. I was made so welcome by the reception staff. I was immediately put at ease. Nothing was too much trouble. My room was spacious and airy.
