"We stayed here for one night whilst visiting friends in the area. We booked a twin room. The room was very small but clean with a lovely en-suite shower room attached. the beds were very comfortable. We arrived early so while we waited for our room to be ready we ordered a BLT double toasted sandwich which we both shared, it was delicious. There was plenty of parking in the car park outside. "Busy village pub, very old so lots of low beams (banged my head going up the stairs; no signage, so that could be improved), friendly service, good beer, very good food, generous portions and excellent value for money. Excellent choice if you are in need of a room in the Cotswolds at a sensible price "

"I had a wonderful stay! The room is wonderfully appointed, quite large and very cozy. I was thrilled at seeing it. I'm still thinking about the amazing claw foot tub! The food at the Bower House below is absolutely delicious and the staff are incredibly kind and service-oriented. I hope I get to stay here soon again. The downtown area that the restaurant and rooms are in is so charming with many shops, restaurants, etc. I loved my three night stay"

"Really lovely staff and the check in experience was very pleasant. The room was just about acceptable in terms of cleanliness but the toilet was not clean and still had used paper in it. The room and the surroundings were very tired and beyond worn in some places, especially the carpet on the stairs which was very dirty. As there was no breakfast, we could not comment on it. It’s such a shame because the setting is quite pleasant and it could be a lovely place to visit. "
