"What a quaint and charming inn! Our room was quaint and very clean. The staff was excellent. The free breakfast was beyond! Served in a sunroom with white glove service. Very classy. The nin is old and some of the floors squeak. -great value."

"This hotel looks like you stepped into 1980. The front door had a gap that let in light and cold air. The wallpaper was peeling. There were scuff marks on the walls and door. The bathroom fixture was open and you could see exposed wiring. Some outlet plates were also open. The one lamp had non working electrical outlets. The room smelled musty. The beds were comfortable and the shower had reasonable pressure."

"Immaculately clean, comfortable bed; the two most important things. We've stayed at more charming places in Great Barrington, but our usual B&B required two nights and we only wanted one. Nothing fancy, no frills, but ultimately quite satisfactory. We would stay here again. P.S. we found some charm and a nice breakfast at the Holli Cafe."

"It does not seem there are Kings beds despite advertising/offering of such. Room has a full and a twin and no, they cannot be pushed together. The entire room is tiny. I mean tiny. My bf knees touched shower curtain when sitting on toilet and could not shut door-tiny. We did not attempt to use shower because so small. That being said, it satisfies what we needed it for-it was inexpensive as rates go, it was clean, the AC worked well as did the tv. Honestly I’d give 2.5."

"The entry to the bed and breakfast was through the owner's residence. The state of the entry probably should have given a clue about the cleanliness of the rooms. The floors in the hallway looked as though they hadn't seen a vacuum in a year. Layers of dust on the furniture in the room, and floors that were not cleaned prior to my arrival. The shared bathroom hadn't been cleaned and the shower curtain was covered in pink mold. An old used facecloth hung inside the shower. I made this reservation...

"The breakfast every morning was wonderful with a great variety to choose from. The staff couldn’t be any more friendly, accommodating, and welcoming! The pool looked very inviting, however it was too cool out and or raining. Hopefully next time… there will definitely be a next time!"

"I used to stay in it when it was the holiday house which was a purely 50s motel. it’s been bought and refurbished and renamed the brooks. The rooms are still not very big but the beds are comfortable and I don’t spend a lot of time at the hotel when I’m in Hillsdale. there was a coffee maker that made delicious coffee and there is room for my small dog and his crate. "The rooms are not at all fancy, but perfect for a family if you want to get away for a few nights. We went with my 3, 4, and 7-year-olds and spent two nights playing in the pool, mini-golfing, and hitting the arcade once or twice. Again, not very high-end, but if you’re with children who love a pool and easy activities, it’s a good choice."
