We were attending the wedding and after speaking to the member of the reception team in the day, we were checked-in early, which allowed us to change clothes, leave the luggage, park the car and leave it there, get a taxi and enjoy the day. "This hotel is in a great country location with extremely friendly staff, from the check-In, dinner service, breakfast and checkout. The hotel is very reasonably priced but this is probably due to the fact that the decor is old, a bit tired and in need of redecoration throughout. It was clean however the wallpaper was dated, the paintwork needed redoing and the carpet was clean but with the signs of oils stains, none of this bothered me but if you are fussy then maybe pay more and go elsewhere. Bed was comfortable and a good nights sleep. The restaurant was well worth a visit even if you don’t decide to stay here as the food was very well priced and of excellent quality. I had the venison steak, seasonal vegetables, salt & pepper chips & blue cheese sauce on the side, and must say that the steak was tender, cooked to perfection and the vegetables, chips & sauce were extremely tasty. Service was a little slow but worth the wait. In conclusion hotel worth staying at if don’t mind the decor a bit dated / tied, restaurant definitely visit."
