"Clean and quiet hotel. No aircraft noise heard at all. Polite staff. Room 668’s shower left the shower’s tray partly blocked and almost about to spill out on to the tiled floor. Nasty drain smells from the shower was the clue to the problem! Air conditioning system not very affective at all."

"Terrible stay. Dirty rooms, Breakfast is non-existent and all continental only. A lot of maintenance workers stay here, so you can imagine the standard. Depressing side of the road lodge. It is not a hotel really, more like a youth hostel!"

"The hotel was good for £58 a night just before flying. The lady behind the desk was absolutely lovely when we checked in. The rooms were clean but they miss out on detailed cleaning but for one night, it isn’t an issue. Room was huge, we walked in and said ‘woah’! Very close to the airport, easy bus services that drop you off just outside the services. Also very close to multi different food places and they had their own separate car park from the services one."

"I was able to check in online before I arrived at The Kicking Dickey. The staff were very helpful and friendly along with the pub which I thought was very welcoming. My room was at the rear of the property so away from any noise. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained, I think it might of been a converted stable. Nice functional bathroom with a shower and a very comfortable single bed. Lots of free parking outside the property. All in all well worth a stay."

"Ontbijt was goed. Personeel ochtendshift was goed personeel middagshift was minder en arrogant. Airco in kamer werkte niet. Telefoon in kamer ontbrak. Kamer was erg heet en niet te koelen met de geleverde ventilator. 1 van de 2 liften werkten in het geheel niet. Parkeren was alleen beschikbaar voor invaliden."

"Grime around bathroom, visible damage on door, walls and furniture, no lock on bathroom door and the worst of all.......no bedside table, like where am i meant to sit my phone. Overall food and services was ok but room left too much to be discovered"

"It was an ok stay. Very basic and a bit tired looking but clean enough if you don’t inspect the stained mattress and marks on the walls. Plus points helpful staff and free parking and next to a service station with an express M&S, Macdonalds, Greggs etc. plenty of electric charging on site."

"Bar staff left half pint on table went to order food came back no drink and table was taken.saw the table cleaner she just smiled and said left it on the bar not there"

"not a good sleep the first night due to a machine in the courtyard for freezing purposes. apparently the normal freezer had broken. however after we complained we were moved to another room which was a lot better in fact an upgrade on our previous room hopefully the university of cambridge will rectify this in the not to distant future. the staff were excellent"

"Our rooms looked nothing like the photo’s on here. The carpets had huge stains on them and the furniture was dated and beat up. Our window would not open and the frame was rotting. Our bathroom was dark and the shower would sporadically turn burning hot to freezing cold. The women’s toilets in the bar area had multiple out of order signs on the doors and the one I was able to use had a huge hole in the wall where tiles were missing and broken.
