"The owners have done a great job updating and maintaining an affordable motel. It's less than 5 minutes from the airport and easy access to town and the bypass. Our room (in the newer building) didn't have anywhere to put our clothes if we wanted to unpack and didn't have an iron or ironing board. The ends were firm but comfortable. "I stayed three nights here while in Cavendish to attend a wedding. The location is really good, but the property is very tired. It needs a lot of work but from what I saw, work did seem to be happening on some rooms. My room was dated and musty. Housekeeping attended my room while I was out on the third day, which was nice to have them spruce it up. They also knocked to offer the second day, but I was getting ready and declined. "Nice property, easy walk to downtown. The room was great except for the thumping from kids running in the suite above us. They said these rooms were soundproofed, but the noise was quite noticeable. Breakfast was OK but eggs were overcooked."

"This is a simple, reasonably priced place to stay in Charlottetown. It was a great location with lively entertainment and diverse dining in the surrounding blocks. A few things I wish I’d known before staying on a Friday night: - don’t stress too much about where to park. As of 6 PM, the meters in front of the hotel become free for the weekend! We were able to park right in front of the building for free. - bring earplugs even if you’re not a light sleeper. I can sleep well most of the time...

"I love, LOVE the Great George and have stayed there numerous times over the years. My suite was superb, well-appointed and spotlessly clean. The staff, as always, was friendly and extremely professional. For those new to Charlottetown, the location of the Great George is perfect - it's an easy walk to all of the downtown attractions and amenities. A++"

"It is in a very pretty spot near the North River. Cows (ice cream) is about a block away and open til 10pm. There is parking and a gas station across the street. I was in #5, my room was lovely no problems and the tv worked, basic cable but still good. I would recommend for a short stay."
