"Rainy Memorial Day Weekend. I didn't realize my room was not in the main building with the front desk. For $400/night - I expected a bit better.
Before I go into the cons. The room has comfy beds, nice linens, has a plug in cooktop and cookware, nice perk! Great fridge and microwave, and a keurig (though the cheap k-cups made terrible coffee and the coffeemate single cups curdled in if,
No remote control in the room - had to go to the desk at 10pm once we settled for the evening. Also, no way to watch TV unless you have a streaming service (had to rely on Netflix)
Ran out of toilet paper by the first day of a 3 day stay, no back up roll in the room, again we had to go to the front desk late in the evening - in the pouring rain
Requested extra towels, trash removal and room cleaning via the prompts offered on the TV menu and wasn't fulfilled. This was terribly inconvenient when returning at 10pm after the 3 of us were at a water park in AC all day. Called the front desk and the person who handled the call sent someone right up with towels and took away the garbage. Would have been nice to have had the sand in the room swept and the beds made - oh well.
Kitchenette had dishes that were dirty / licked clean by previous occupants, dirty ones tucked under the clean dishes - some were clean (we hope). No dish soap or sponge to clean the dishes.
They should have prepped for a 3 humans to spend 3 nights and make sure the dishes were clean."
