"Dirty does not look anything like picture old dilapidated this is a real review this place is old 1920 look foul stench I would never recommend this place. You been warned "

"The room was clean, staff very friendly and helpful, the property is nice with great views of the beach. It is off the main road so a car rental or taxi service will need to be used if you want to explore the island. A free beach shuttle is offered so thats a plus, we didnt eat on property as we were mostly out."

"The staff was great deal with, warn and courteous. The rooms were well kept. The A/C works well. All the necessity i needed from a kitchen whilst on vacation was available. Our stay was great."

"The property is clean and well-maintained. However, the after-hours check-in process could be improved to make it smoother for guests arriving late or after hours. Additionally, the AC in the living room was not working, but it did work in all our bedrooms. Lastly, the shade umbrellas at the pool need maintenance. They are all broken in some way. The pool is on an exposed rooftop with no shade, so having functional working umbrellas would be a great improvement."

"First of all, mosquitoes devour me. I stayed at the Loyalton many times and never had mosquitoes bite me. The breakfast didn't do it for me. The shower was cold, no lotion for your body, and the place didn't do it for me. Never again. I didn't like it."

"Romantic and relaxing with great views of the jungle and ocean. Room could use a little TLC with things like a broken soap dish in the shower, but we are an active outdoor couple and don't need grand comfort. You are in the tropical jungle so expect bugs. The voice of the jungle speaks at night. As we are active travelers we spent much time exploring the island and scuba diving , then would come back to our room to cool off in the pool and relax with the million dollar view! "Our room was cleaned daily by a committed housekeeping staff. Lorene & Ingrid were exceptional, warm and friendly. They were limited by the lack of resources. Gem is conveniently located on a beach, however the rooms are showing their age and it is clear that management has not invested in updating the room in a very long time. Basic things like a running toilet tank, having to hold the lever to get the toilet to flush, a refrigerator that leaks, all reflect the lack of intention to the small...
