Lagoon tour (arranged by front desk) was peaceful, full of birds, Captain Rohan a fantastic guide to birds and wildlife. Transportation to Negombo is via tuktuk, driver Asim polite and exceptionally kind (provided tour of Negombo and a short errand for salt and Type G adapter for my travels, Amagi Aria has universal outlets but the rest of Sri Lanka has Type G). "Das Hotel ist einmalig, Zimmer sind groß und sehr sauber, die Speisen hervorragend, das Personal freundlich. Alles in allem ein absolutes Highlight. Leider ist die Lage nicht wirklich toll. Es liegt an der Mündung des Bentotaflusses, welcher Berge von Müll heranspült. Baden im Meer nicht wirklich schön, auch wegen den gefährlichen Strömungen. Man badet also ausschließlich im Pool. Das ist sehr traurig!"

"We stayed here on our honeymoon, and was expecting a little more hospitality to be honest couldn't even get a free drink out of them 😅. They do hound you a little in the mornings for room service so don't expect a lay in at this place! The food was really good, bar slightly over priced so all inclusive would be worth it if you intend to spend most of your time at the hotel.
