Love tbe Royal! Its a very traditional hotel. Beautiful staircase . Rooms were very clean. Couldnt see the TV, it was too small, but didnt affect us. Comfortable bed and lovely, bright airy rooms. Nice bathroom with shower. Its close to the shopping arcade and close to the pubs. The sea front is 2 minutes away. Weatherspoons is 2 minutes away too. Parking is free, so thats a plus.We have stayed twice before and we will be definately be back.

Staff were very efficient and friendly. I have disability, someone had parked across the space outside and I let reception know. The disabled spaces need repainting as they are very worn. Bar staff very good, we didn't use restaurant. Lovely bathroom. Bed comfortable. Wardrobe doors creaked very badly, maybe some WD40 on the hinges would help! Good view. Lovely hotel and we enjoyed our stay and will be returning.Very happy with our short break here at the Royal.

Did not have any meals. Room was excellent except for steps down to bathroom. House keeping was excellent with tea coffee and biscuits topped up each day also towels changed when required. Staff were cheerful and friendly. Only concern was sometimes noise from large vent pipe at end of the hotel. Would definitely use hotel again but ask for room at other end of the hotel.

We always stay at the Royal Hotel if we are in WSM for the night. In terms of being in a central location it can't be beaten. It's a traditional and spacious hotel. The staff always go above and beyond to assist you. It's a beautiful, old building. We had a twin room and the bathroom was larger than my living room. Wonderful sea views. I miss the view already! Very highly recommended. Haven't tried the food sadly but it looks delicious!

We were allocated room 308. Up the back stairs and along narrow corridors. The room was small and dark. The bathroom was tiny. The window overlooked the back yard, the dustbins and a huge extractor fan. The wind howled around the yard like a vortex. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was nice. Location was near to the front and parking was free to residents.
