"Paid for an upgraded room days before arriving- was given the wrong room upon check-in. Brought it to the attention of staff and was told it was the correct room. "Everything was very private and no one bothered you if you didn't want them to. The room was very nice and big and clean and perfect for our week long stay. The parking lot was very well lit so it felt very safe. Also had a great breakfast and right next to coffee shop if you wanted to get something else in the morning. "The Richardson is a wonderful hotel. It is a magnificent building and spending time on the lower level to learn about it's past it fascinating. If you can book a hard hat tour while you are there that is even more incredible. The staff was helpful and thoughtful. The grounds are incredible, spend time wandering in and outside. Take the "historic stair." Few aspects of the hotel are not great. It is "cashless" meaning they cannot change large bills in case you would like to tip services. Our...
