Although it is advertised on numerous websites that the rooms are air conditioned the airconditioning had broken so there was nothing on the hottest day of the year. "Very clean place, spacious room , staff was friendly and helpful, drinks from the bar were excellent and breakfast was great well I will stay there again. The only downside was the £5 charge for room service"

"Bed was comfortable and breakfast very nice. Negatives - no air con on a very hot day/night and shower problematic. Couldn’t avoid getting hair wet, shower head too high to adjust and no soap in dispenser. Otherwise all good."

"This is a beautiful hotel in a wonderful setting. The hotel has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. There is ample seating outside which is great on a summers day,The grounds are kept beautifully. "I had a great stay at the hotel for a wedding. The room was huge and the beautifully designed. I really liked the various lighting and the room had lots of mirrors. Staff were great and friendly; I asked for green tea teabags and staff bought them to my room quickly."

"Stayed for one night, which happened to be the hottest night of the year. Not the hotels fault, but the window in the room would not open. Hotel did supply fans but made little difference. Major issue was after a night in a 30 degree room there was no water for a shower, or the toilet. Spoke to manager who was stressed but apologetic who said the mains were off due to an issue which he hoped would be fixed at some point….
